A selfless and generous concern for the welfare of others. Working to collaborate rather than dominate nature is the key, which resurrects old skills sitting alongside new ones. Repair takes on a new beauty, as there is a slow development of product learning to take the most sustainable way forward, thus having a positive impact on our well-being. This theme focusses on artisanal & bio-led crafted designs in fabrics. Cherishing the imperfect in, mosslike surfaces & blurred boucle's, bulky unrefined tweeds, reworked country classics, unravelled & frayed constructions, utility cottons and cords. Enhancing the earthy raw materials inspired from Nature’s textures. Raw weaves are made up of natural waste blended and matted together in a totally unrefined way. Loose weave is allowed to fray at the edges or mended together in multi textural unions. Darning is essential. Natural fibres like cotton, linen, hemp and silk are used pure, and as blends. Yarns with slub effects and grainy textures add to this organic look.
Color Harmonies: Color is either solid dyed or presented in melange effects. Natural colours of new growth, along with the elemental earth tones. A gathering of greens meets the rich chestnut browns of the soil & bark.
